Hardware |
· 3 GHz (64-bit processor) computer · 16 GB memory (RAM) dedicated to iSupport - minimum 6GB reserved for Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and operating system · 5 GB free hard-disk space · 1 GB/second network card This is only a minimum guideline where IIS and Microsoft SQL Server are dedicated and collocated; system performance can be directly impacted by insufficient resources. Multiple factors influence system performance and database growth, including your usage and configuration choices, so it’s important to monitor the hosting environment. |

Your iSupport license is associated with the server that runs the iSupport application, so you will need to deactivate the license (via the iSupport License Management configuration screen under Options and Tools | Administer) before making changes to the server. If you do not deactivate, your license will become invalid. iSupport licensing is designed for a physical static system; a virtual machine that allows dynamic machine configuration changes may cause the license to be deactivated. If using a virtual machine, use a static configuration and deactivate the license prior to environmental system configuration changes.
If importing asset, customer, or product data from a Microsoft Excel .xlsx or Comma Separated Value .csv file, the Microsoft Access Object Library 12.0 must be installed onto your iSupport web server.
Mail System |
Mail server such as Microsoft Exchange that communicates via EWS or another mail system that uses POP3 or IMAP4. Outgoing email functionality requires an SMTP server or Exchange with EWS that may be reached by the server on which iSupport is installed; incoming email functionality requires a server enabled for POP3, IMAP4, OAUTH2 for Gmail/0365, or EWS. |
