License Profile Features

License Management functionality enables you to track instances of one or more software titles against a specified condition and quantity. You’ll set up a Software License Profile record that includes a condition (actual quantity is not or is greater than or less than a specified quantity), the software titles, and notification to be sent if the condition is met. The License Profile functionality appears on the Desktop menu if License Management permissions are assigned in your Support Representative profile.

After setting up Software License Profile records, enable the License Management agent via the Agents tab in the Core Settings | Feature Basics | Asset Management screen. It scans all scheduled scans and searches for instances of the software titles specified in software license profiles, compares the actual quantities found against the conditions, flags the profiles that meet the conditions, and updates the profiles with the actual quantities. Notifications are sent if configured.
