To configure display an entry in the Notification Center list on the Desktop, select the Notify - Desktop rule action, one or more recipients, and the text to appear in the Desktop Notification Center dropdown and/or popup.
Options on the Desktop Notification Center tab in Preferences (accessed by clicking the Desktop avatar/name) determine whether an entry will appear as a list entry or popup.
