CMDB Integration Basics Tab Example
Microsoft SQL Server Source Name |
Enter a name for the integration definition. This name will appear in the list of integration definitions and in the Source field in the associated CI record. |
Connection String |
Enter the connection string for accessing the source database. |
SQL Query |
Enter the SQL query string for accessing the CI-specific SQL columns in the source database. This field is limited to 255 characters (including white space). Click the Test Query button to populate the SQL Columns field on the Field Mappings tab. |
Authentication (Asset and CMDB RDB) Username Password |
Select the type of authentication to be used to access the source SQL Server database: Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication. If using SQL Server authentication, enter the user name and password for accessing the server. |
Active |
Select Yes to enable the Configuration Item Synchronization agent that updates the records in the iSupport CMDB database with the information in the SQL source database. |
Synchronization Interval |
This field appears when Yes is selected in the Active field. Select the number of minutes in the interval for the synchronization to be performed. |
